When the founder of BroThrow approached us, the platform was just an idea, but it was big. What ensued was a year-long project that included brand development, web app planning and front-end development on a user interface that would change the face of sports betting. BroThrow is a patent-pending, peer-to-peer (P2P) social sports betting network. The platform facilitates wagering between sports bettors, without the need for a casino, bookie, offshore site, or other middleman, making sports betting with friends easy, transparent, and fair. The biggest challenge with this project was to design a social experience for sports betting that has never before existed.

Brand & Asset Development
BroThrow needed a strong sports and gaming aesthetic to compete in the markets that FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365, and BetMGM occupied. It was radically different in its concept but still needed to speak to sports fans without being specific to any sport. Hart Studio developed a mark that hit these benchmarks and proceeded to develop assets icons and background elements with licensed sport photography to be used for marketing and the following web app design.
UX / UI Design
Early on, the challenge with BroThrow interface centered around delivering betting lines in a compact way that was easy to understand. The core user was accustomed to scrolling through sports data on a regular basis but with a new model of peer-to-peer betting, the challenge centered on a bet card that communicated this new idea in an intuitive way and a framing for the entire web app that gave the cards as much space as possible to steal the show.
As the designs took shape, other functions and aspects of the platform were explored, like expanded desktop views. Core social user stories were explored, including Creating A Group and Managing Active Bets.
Print & Digital Marketing
We helped BroThrow bring its user recruitment strategy to life across billboards, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and a stronger marketing front for BroThrow.com. The platform’s invite-only model became a central creative advantage, turning trust and exclusivity into conversion drivers. By positioning access as something earned through trusted users, every campaign touchpoint reinforced BroThrow’s value as a peer-to-peer betting app built around real relationships, credibility, and community-driven growth.
